Info on how to obtain your Italian Fiscal Code
The Fiscal Code, issued by the Ministry of Finance, as an identifier for citizens, is necessary for various procedures such as the enrolment, opening a bank account, registering to the National Health Insurance (SSN), or signing a lease contract.
Applicants have two options for obtaining the fiscal code: they can apply abroad at the Italian diplomatic authorities in their country of residence, or in Italy at the nearest "Agenzia delle Entrate" office in their city of residence.
