Description and Teaching Objectives
This Degree aims at providing thorough knowledge of one or two languages (to be chosen out of English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish or Russian) and Literatures of the Euro-American area. Furthermore, it aims at ensuring that students acquire advanced methodological tools for linguistic analysis and translation of different types of texts, as well as qualified philological, critical, historical-literary skills and mastery of major computer tools in specific areas.
It has a unique curriculum focusing on a single linguistic-literary field, also allowing students to become specialists in other areas that shall be consistent with their educational objectives.
Career Opportunities
Graduates can teach in schools after achieving all necessary qualification and winning the competitions pursuant to regulations in force; they can aspire to high-responsibility tasks in international bodies, institutes of international cooperation, Italian cultural institutes abroad, newsrooms and publishing houses; they can also operate as language experts and/or translators in specific institutions such as ministries, State archives, libraries, cultural centres.
This Degree trains graduates as writers and related professions, journalists, high-level interpreters and translators, linguists and philologists, archivists, librarians.
