Description and Teaching Objectives
This Degree provides the necessary methodological, basic refinement to complete 1st-level education. It prepares students to face project and implementation challenges related to major areas in modern Electronics: energy, healthcare, environment, industry, space and safety, as well as telecommunications and multimedia. It offers different curricula which are structured around the main areas of interest.
This course conveys specific skills in Electronics and Information Technology, from device physics to complex systems. It provides: specific project methods and tools to analyse and design microelectronic and nanoelectronic components and sensors; a wide range of hardware and software expertise to analyse and design complex electronic systems - both analogue and digital - for the most diverse application fields.
More specifically, subjects include: circuits, subsystems, electronic and microelectronic systems and devices for areas such as information, medicine, logistics, space, avionics; algorithms and architectures for signal and data processing; technologies for the production of microelectronic, optoelectronic and power components, technologies for sensor production, data acquisition systems, integrated microwave circuits and systems for earth and satellite applications.
Career Opportunities
Graduates master all necessary skills to work in public and private companies at different responsibility levels. Particular reference is made to the design, production and management of circuits, electronic systems and subsystems for telecommunications, computer science, control, medicine, environment and space. They have great decision-making autonomy, and thanks to their advanced project and management tools and methods they can give contributions in terms of innovation.
Moreover, they can work in services for information and communication technology as well as in scientific and technological research.
