Description and Teaching Objectives
The course prepares students to operate in the fields of economics and business management with specific regard to public companies and non-profit companies, also with reference to specific and highly dynamic service sectors.
In particular, the course develops professional expertise for interpretation and management of competitive environments, characterized by rapid innovation processes that involve both large companies and SMEs, as well as goods and services. Furthermore, the course pays particular attention to the acquisition and development of skills and management tools.
The course also allows students to acquire the necessary abilities to understand the economic system and the regulatory and organizational framework of enterprises. It provides specific skills of administrative, managerial, financial, tax, auditing, reporting for administrative functions and control of enterprises and for professional advisors.
Finally, the course provides advanced knowledge, appropriate tools and methodologies for:
• understanding and management of enterprise evolutionary dynamics and environmental contexts;
• development of design skills, administration, management and strategic management, performance assessment and staff enhancement for non-profit and private companies that operate in healthcare, social services, tourism and hotel services, cultural and in the communication world.
The course include six different training programs: Management, Profession and Consulting, Economics and Management services (Media Tourism and Health), Public Administration, Business Law, Leadership and Soft Skills.
Career Opportunities
The Master of Science in Economics and Management prepares professionals in business and institutional management, including modern business consultant profiles, technology auditors, managers of intellectual property rights, expert in technology transfer, operator in multinational companies and SMEs innovative, either in operational and innovation activities, and also in the administrative and control functions.
Job placement is highly probable also in public, private and non-profit agencies and organizations at national and local levels, such as advertising agencies, communication and press offices, radio and television networks and Internet portals, as well as in companies and institutions operating in the tourism, health and culture services.
Graduates can deepen their management training by participating in master; can also compete for the enrollment of regulated professions of chartered accountants and auditors.
