Languages for Peace
The European Day of Languages, initiated by the Council of Europe in 2001, celebrates language learning and aims to preserve Europe's rich linguistic and cultural diversity. Held annually on September 26th, this day showcases the significance of language skills in our interconnected world, emphasizing the value of multilingualism, cultural exchange, and the cognitive benefits of learning new languages.
This year, UNIVERSEH proudly presents an engaging online program under the theme “Languages for Peace,” featuring diverse speakers and topics that explore the power of language in fostering understanding and collaboration.
The event will conclude with the Language Café, an open space for students and staff from all UNIVERSEH Alliance universities to connect, converse, and celebrate linguistic diversity.
